Kyriakos Papadopoulos

Kyriakos Papadopoulos was signed from Svoronos Katerinis and was promoted from the Olympiacos U18 team in July 2007. He has so far featured in several Olympiacos pre-season friendlies, three league games and three Greek cup games.

In the summer of 2007, Papadopoulos was invited on trial to train with the Espanyol youth team during the pre-season, with a view to giving the player a role in the team. Karaiskakis Stadium

The Karaiskakis Stadium had fallen in disrepair and its use was passed to Olympiacos in April 2003; the club took the responsibility to build a new football-only ground in its place, to be used for the football tournament of the 2004 Olympics.

Kyriakos Papadopoulos

He was called for duty for the U-19 Greece team to participate in the Elite round of the 2007 UEFA European Under-19 Football Championship. He participated in all three group games against Moldova, Netherlands and Russia, helping Greece finish top and qualify for the finals.

Absolute domination

Olympiacos' era of domination began with attracting players of international magnitude like Zlatko Zahovič, Giovanni, and World Champions Rivaldo and Christian Karembeu. Sporadic success and stone years

The first championship as a Top National League, called Alpha Ethniki, was held for the first time in the 1959-60 season however the 60s and the early 70s were not as fruitful for Olympiacos, having won only two championships and six cups. In 1926, the Hellenic Football Federation was founded and organized the Panhellenic Championship in the 1927-1928 season, the first national championship, where the regional champions from EPSA league (Athens), EPSP league (Piraeus) and EPSM league (Thessaloniki) compete for the national title through play-offs, with Aris becoming the first champion.
